Anatase

TiO2IMA symbol: Antapproved

Anatase is an oxide or hydroxide mineral with the formula TiO2, crystallizing in the tetragonal system. It has a Mohs hardness of 5.5-6, typically black, blue, brown or green in color, with an adamantine or metallic luster, a specific gravity of 3.82-3.95. Its streak is red.
