Aragonite

Aragonite is a carbonate or nitrate mineral with the formula Ca(CO3), crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 3.5-4, typically white, red or violet in color, with a resinous or vitreous luster, a specific gravity of 2.93-2.95. Its streak is red.
