Gaylussite

Na2Ca(CO3)2·5H2OIMA symbol: Gylgrandfathered

Gaylussite is a carbonate or nitrate mineral with the formula Na2Ca(CO3)2·5H2O, crystallizing in the monoclinic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 2-3, typically white or yellow in color, with a vitreous luster, a specific gravity of 1.93-1.95. Its streak is gray or red.
