Hematite

Hematite is an oxide or hydroxide mineral with the formula Fe2O3, crystallizing in the trigonal system. It has a Mohs hardness of 5.5-6.5, typically black, gray or red in color, with a metallic luster, a specific gravity of 4.9-5.5. Its streak is brown or red.
