Lazurite is a silicate mineral with the formula Na7Ca(Al6Si6O24)(SO4)(S3)-·H2O, crystallizing in the cubic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 5-5.5, typically blue, green or violet in color, with a vitreous luster, a specific gravity of 2.38-2.45. Cleavage is imperfect.
