Perovskite is an oxide or hydroxide mineral with the formula CaTiO3, crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 5.5, typically black, brown, gray or orange in color, with an adamantine or metallic luster, a specific gravity of 4.017. Its streak is colorless or gray.
