Sphalerite

Sphalerite is a sulfide or sulfosalt mineral with the formula ZnS, crystallizing in the cubic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 3.5-4, typically colorless, white, black or brown in color, with an adamantine or resinous luster, a specific gravity of 3. Its streak is white or brown.
