Tephroite

Tephroite is a silicate mineral with the formula Mn2+2(SiO4), crystallizing in the orthorhombic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 5.5-6, typically brown, gray, red or rose in color, with a greasy or vitreous luster, a specific gravity of 4-4.12. Its streak is gray.
