Vivianite is a phosphate, arsenate, or vanadate mineral with the formula Fe2+3(PO4)2·8H2O, crystallizing in the monoclinic system. It has a Mohs hardness of 1.5-2, typically colorless, blue, green or red in color, with a metallic or pearly luster, a specific gravity of 2.58-2.68. Its streak is colorless or white.
